Burger Star To Gourmet Star follows the country's best Michelin starred chefs and set them a task of taking cooks from burger bars, chicken shops and greasy spoons and turning them into world class chefs in just three weeks. In each episode, the journey of each chosen cook will be charted as they attempt to learn all of the skills to be a world-class cook. Will the cooks be able to pass themselves off as the best, or will it all prove to be too much?

Season 01, Episode 01
Burger-van owner Carl makes his way to the kitchen of perfectionist and esteemed head chef Daniel Clifford, at his two Michelin star restaurant Midsummer House, in Cambridge. He has a unique style of creating French cuisine with thoroughly British ingredients, and his kitchen runs like a military operation. Carl has to deal with 18-hour days and spending time away from his family.
